Prevention
An estimated 227,000 people in Ohio are living with the effects
of brain injury. That's a startling statistic, especially when you
consider that many of these injuries could have been prevented.
Being aware of the common sources of injuries and the risks
associated with certain behaviors may help us all prevent brain
injuries.
This site has been developed to assist:
- those seeking statistics and causes of brain injuries
- those looking for legislative and personal methods to help
Ohioans prevent injuries
- those looking for our partners in prevention, and
- those looking for prevention materials to be downloaded for
reference or educational activities.
Remember, the only real cure for brain injury is prevention.
Don't forget that we are here to help with your prevention efforts.
Call us for additional assistance or materials. We are glad to
have YOU on our prevention team.
* Development of this section of our website was made possible
through a grant from the Ohio Department of Public Safety / EMS
Division.
