PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
As a Result of this Program
Participants will:
Describe at least two assistive technologies that can assist individuals with attention, memory and organization challenges. Match individuals with brain injury to the technologies that can assist them.Develop intervention plans that will assist individuals with brain injury as they learn to incorporate technologies into their daily lives. Describe the research and outcome data related to NeuroRehabilitation therapies.
Differentiate between the 4 common forms of specific memory training involved in retraining cognition after brain injury.

PROJECT SAFE CHILD 2005

Families are invited to learn more about different aspects of safety, including water, fire, bike and household safety, poison control and car seat use.  This is a FREE event, open to the public.

Brain Injury Association of Ohio will have a display table at the event, and plans to have several Jell-O brain drop demonstrations to illustrate the fragility of the human brain and how wearing a helmet does really protect the brain.

This three-day training is designed to increase core knowledge and skills for advocates. Lecture, small group activities, role plays, audiovisuals, and exciting discussion are utilized to enhance the learning experience. In addition to covering core information, facilitators will explore the components of domestic violence activism. Participants will also receive the Domestic Violence Advocacy Fundamentals Training Manual.
