Conference activities

Wednesday, September 17, 2008 (tentative date)

Annual Membership Meeting, 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the University Plaza.

September 18-19, 2008

The conference will feature a keynote speaker each day, followed by four hour-long workshop periods offering as many as five concurrent sessions on wide-ranging topics.

Keynote speakers:

Diana Lund will present the Keynote address on Thursday, September 18th.

Ms. Lund holds a BA in psychology and an MA in mathematics. For seven years she taught college mathematics, and for thirteen years she was a computer science project manager. After brain injury sidelined her career, she began creative writing. Today she speaks in the Chicago area about mild traumatic brain injury and is penning a second memoir.

Harvey E. Jacobs, Ph.D. will present the Keynote address on Friday, September 19th.

Dr. Jacobs has special expertise in behavioral rehabilitation for individuals with neurological, psychiatric, medical and developmental disorders. He is a national leader and expert in the treatment of behavior disorders following brain injury. His innovative programs have addressed community integration, social support networks, vocational rehabilitation, behavioral rehabilitation, and psychiatric rehabilitation.

Thursday Evening, September 18th - Social Event.  We hope to schedule an evening social event again this year.  We hope you'll join us after the conference workshops and dinner (on your own) for an evening socializing with your friends.
