Stephanie Ramsey, President

Completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing at Carlow College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and a Master of Public Health Degree in Health Policy and Health Services Administration at the University of Pittsburgh.  Her career includes management experience in both the private and public sectors with emphasis on administrative service and strategic planning 

 

She began a career in the insurance industry at the Travelers’ Company in Hartford, Connecticut where she established the first catastrophic case management claim operation within the Health Benefits product line. At that time, she also served as a member of the Governor’s Implementation Committee for a comprehensive state plan for the care, treatment and long-term services for traumatic brain injury survivors.  That was the start of a life-long commitment to the cause of brain injury.  Her goal is to see Ohio move ahead in development of in the resources and supports that are available for survivors, family members, caregivers and all those who bring their skills to the prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and care of those in our community.

BIAOH has made great progress in the past few years but the best is yet to come. Engaging volunteers, rekindling relationships with members and support groups, and raising the funds to support new activities are all on the horizon. We can do it with steady, focused progress. esmith@biaoh.org
