Your Piece in the Mission

To create a better future through brain injury prevention, research, education and advocacy.

We want to...

  • Improve services for brain injury survivors

  • Support Ohioan families impacted by brain injury

  • Advocate for advances in research and legislation

  • Promote understanding and rehabilitation

  • Be a lifelong community

  • Assist individuals in living as fully and independently as possible

  • Promote brain injury prevention in Ohio

Every dollar your team raises makes BIAOH programs and services accessible to more brain injury survivors and caregivers in Ohio.

By building your Cere-bration team and fundraising with us, you make programs like our Helpline, Healthy Minds, A.H.E.A.D., NeuroSparks, NeuroResource Facilitation, backpack program, and MORE possible.

To make team fundraising easier, this page is full of tools for your use. If you have questions or trouble accessing any documents, email rhisle@biaoh.org.

(2) Select ‘Yes’ to joining/creating a team.

(3) When prompted select ‘Create A New Group/Team’ and enter a team name.

Recruit

Team members can be anybody—friends, family, coworkers or neighbors—and they can all easily register as participants online.

Whether you’re a corporate team or a team of family and friends, be sure to ask everyone you know.

When your team members register, they will be prompted to choose an existing team, so make sure they know the name (and password, if applicable) your team has chosen.

Fundraise

Put a picture of you or your team on your team webpage. Write the story of why you and your team are walking.

Don’t forget to ask everyone who sponsors you if their employer offers matching gifts!

If you’d like a Pledge Form download it here and print out as many as you need.

Every participant who raises $100 will receive a t-shirt!

attend

Meet up with your team at the Cere-bration and submit a photo for the creative team picture contest.

1. Get Social! - Share your Cere-bration Walk, Roll, Run page on social media and ask your friends and followers to support your team.

2. Birthday Party – Instead of gifts, hold a blue-themed birthday party and ask for donations for Cere-bration Walk, Roll, Run.

3. Cook off – Who makes the tastiest chili in your office? Which team member bakes the best cupcakes? Tasting judges are charged for each voting ballot. Whoever gets the most votes is crowned “Master Chef.”

4. Raffles – Raffle off prizes or split the pot with the popular 50/50 option.

Fundraising Ideas

5. Game Night – Host a party and have every team member bring their favorite game. Charge a nominal fee to get in the door!

6. Garage Sale – Team members band together by donating items for one huge garage sale. Advertise the sale wherever you can and make sure everyone knows where their donations are going!

7. Ice cream social – Host an office get-together by selling packaged ice cream or making sundaes. Don’t forget the toppings!

8. Spot the Baby Competition – Have everyone bring in a photo of when they were a baby. Have co-workers, friends, or family see who can name the most. Charge $5 for each entry.

9. Matching Gifts – Many companies already have a matching gift program. Ask your company to match what you raise. This is a simple way to double your funds!

10. Dine to Donate – Many restaurants offer dine to donate programs. You can invite your friends, family and community out for dinner and donate the proceeds to your team!

11. Car Wash – This is a great opportunity to get families involved in fundraising, set up a car wash at a local parking lot and charge $5-$10 for a car wash.
